Baroque 21 Lab

  The Italian conductor Attilio Cremonesi together with musicians from different musical cultures makes excursions through the eras and styles of several centuries to trace a musical attitude to life: the baroque. What does the baroque mean to us today, what lived and lives on in other styles and cultures? The Swiss violinist and artist in residence Etienne Abeling, the Turkish percussionist Murat Coskun and the Italian clarinettist Gianluigi Trovesi will experiment, reflect and improvise with Cremonesi in the regions between baroque, jazz and oriental music. The laboratory values will be presented on May 20 in a concert together with the strings of the Tonkünstler Orchestra.
