The ingenious language (de)constructor and onomatopoeist Ernst Jandl was convinced that "poems must be heard". Christian Muthspiel goes one decisive step further: poems have to be set to music, is the thesis of the musician, negating all borders. In this performance he will comment and expand Jandl’s "unique" voice from tape recordings, actually being an instrument in itself, with trombone and piano as well as with vocals, electronics and toys to a thrilling intelligent, moving-witty acoustic dialogue: a sounding roller coaster through Ernst Jandl’s tongue-in-cheek meaningful sound worlds.
