Tamburi Mundi: Dialogue of Rhythms
For the second time, the Tamburi Mundi frame-drum festival is giving a guest performance at the St Pölten Festspielhaus. With its new programme "Dialogue of Rhythms", it brings along internationally acclaimed percussion artists, such as the four-time Grammy winner Glen Velez from the United States. Almost boundless sound images arise out of the dialogue of rhythms, a discourse between modernity and tradition, between dance and sound, rhythm and voice, seriousness and humour. From the vibrating interplay between composed and improvised parts, the dialogue of rhythms derives its unique, enthralling vitality.
