"Everything reminds us of the past", wrote Otto Lechner about his programme. "Toy Piano and accordion promise us a childhood as we maybe would have liked it. And then some things emerge, others cluster together. Something new has to be invented or composed. The sound production of both instruments is based on vibrating metal, a "sentimental mood" – fifty broken promises." Two world musicians from Lower Austria, Isabel Ettenauer, the magician at the toy piano from St Pölten, and accordion genius Otto Lechner from Melk promise a delicious and contemplative evening about sentimentality and how to combat it.
