Australia in Residence

 

In January, the Australian dancers Gavin Webber, Grayson Millwood and Vincent Crowley will take over the centre and the surroundings of the Festspielhaus St Pölten for two weeks. They are presenting four productions, a broad spectrum of the expressive possibilities and narratives of dance, a stunning dance theatre of images and metamorphoses that is demanding, poetical, imaginative, acrobatic and entertaining. Hardly noticeable, the Australian’s perspective on Europe is nevertheless ever present in the background. "Legless", a hymn to joy and life, will be developed during the residence in a workshop aimed at non-professionals who are interested in dance.
