The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra are the top-class guest orchestras at the Festspielhaus St. Pöltenin the 2011/2011 season. With Hélène Grimaud, one of the most important pianists of our time, is even appearing twice in the Great Hall, in a chamber concert with the brilliant cellist Clemens Hagen and as a soloist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Compositions from Brahms to Debussy and from Tchaikovsky to Rimsky-Korsakov will be on the programme. The Freiburg Baroque Orchestra together with pianoforte expert Kristian Bezuidenhout will play compositions of the Romantic period in authentic performance practice and the Vienna Boys’ Choir will present its repertoire, ranging from classical to world music. A season ticket of particularly high quality, you shouldn’t miss.
