This season-ticket is an invitation to an "on-site trip around the world". Apart from the brilliance and virtuosity of the dancers, most productions share a great sense of humour. Irrespective of the cultural areas or continents the dancers come from, they are universally applicable. The body as the carrier of our spirit, breath, relations, is the centre of this world trip through life.
In "Apocrifu", fireworks of dance sparked by different temperaments of dancers interact with the live music of Corsican singers. In impressive images "Princess Bari", accompanied by Korean live music, creates a dialogue between East and West. In "Bahok", dancers from eight different countries question homeland, travelling, presence and communication.
"Lawn" is a fantasy about the story of apartments taking on the souls of their inhabitants, a theatre of images, a metamorphosis, a strange, ghostly pas de trois. In "Remember me", a production inspired by the social life of an Australian mining town, different purposes and phases of life are connected in cooperation with the people of the city of St Pölten.
In two different productions, Aszure Barton, the new star on the New York choreography firmament, dives deeply into the personality of her dancers. In "Entity", Wayne McGregor, known for his neurological dance experiments, enters with his dancers into spiritual spaces, which powerfully, uncompromisingly and fantastically open up new worlds for the audience.
