Famous for his visually arresting works, Damien Jalet confronts his dancers with a platform with a 34-degree incline. In a series of poetic images, Skid explores the desire for ascendancy and the fear of falling. The Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève presents Jalet’s hit production together with a new creation by Fouad Boussouf: in Vïa this emerging choreographer stages a piece that combines elements of urban culture with North African dances.
