As both a musician and an activist, Ganna Gryniva is a passionate advocate for Ukraine’s cultural heritage. Her mixture of folklore and jazz enables us to see deep into the soul of her people – and celebrates some musical signs of hope in one of her nation’s darkest phases. Her album Home became an impressive collage, for which she visited regional archives in Ukraine and collected traditional songs.
