* Benjamin Britten «The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra» for Orchestra and Narrator ad lib op. 34

Classical Music/Play With ‘The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra’ the Tonkunstler Orchestra presents a modern classic of musical education which offers an ideal introduction into a deeper understanding of the particular features of individual instruments. Benjamin Britten brilliantly communicates the workings of an orchestra. Based on a baroque theme by Henry Purcell, this collection of variations surveys the range of tonal colours. Before the concert the young audience is invited to participate in an introductory discussion with musicians and the conductor.
