Dance  Havana, Cuba: After 17 years with the Royal Ballet, the world­famous Cuban dancer and choreographer Carlos Acosta has returned to his home country and founded his own company. Only one month after its world premiere at the London dance house Sadler’s Wells in September 2017, Acosta Danza also presents its new work ‘Debut’ at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten. Alongside ‘De Punta a Cabo’ by Cuban Alexis Fernández, it also shows two brand new works choreographed by Belgian star choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and the Spanish artist Goyo Montero. And if that was not already enough, the audience can look forward to a guest performance by Carlos Acosta himself – a thrilling highlight to launch the new dance season!
