AUSTRIAN PREMIERE

Dance/Contemporary Ballet Ballet BC from Vancouver presents three strong and progressive artistic statements within the genre of contemporary ballet. The company focuses on a female perspective and hence an underrepresented approach to the moving body in motion. ‘Solo Echo’ by Crystal Pite opens with an innovative artistic exploration of tension and its resolution. ‘Bedroom Folk’ by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar is a dynamic piece of dance theatre of hypnotic synchronicity. ‘Busk’, the modern classic by Canadian choreographer Azsure Barton, is staged here in a brand new version and examines the boundaries of human individualism and its disappearance within the mass.
