* Operetta in three acts by Emmerich Kálmán, text by Julius Brammer and Alfred Grünwald

Operetta Count Tassilo is forced to sell his property in order to pay his family’s debts. He then has to work incognito on the estate of the beautiful Countess Mariza. She claims to be engaged in order to spare herself unwanted suitors and calls her imagined fiancé “Baron Zsupán”. However, such a gentleman does actually exist and he promptly presents himself to Mariza … Emmerich Kálmán’s stage hit remains one of the most popular examples of the operetta form to this day.

Leonard Prinsloo choreography and direction, Christoph Huber musical direction, Monika Biegler stage, Mareile von Stritzky costumes, Orchester der Bühne Baden orchestra, with Cornelia Horak, Thomas Malik, Thomas Zisterer, Reinhard Alessandri, Verena Barth-Jurca and others
