PROGRAMM
* Gothic Cantos on the Nativity and Incarnation of Christ by the Masters of Notre Dame
Music/Vocal A Christmas programme without frequently heard classics: Graindelavoix celebrates the birth and human incarnation of Christ in Gothic chant. The a-cappella ensemble established itself some time ago as an unparalleled power in the field of medieval polyphony. In its new programme, the individual characteristics and traditional techniques of the singers are woven together into a virtuoso fabric. Graindelavoix impressively transports the polyphony and musical asymmetry of Gothic compositions to the concert hall. It is almost paradoxical that the voice, as the oldest instrument in human history, is capable of creating such a revolutionary sound experience.
