WORLD CHOIR PLUS

Sing along!

© Inés Bacher

The WÖD CHOR PLUS sees itself as a singing community where everyone is welcome. No matter what your name is, how old you are, where you were born, what language you speak, or whether you sing high or low, loud or soft, or whether you can read music or not: we treat ourselves to two hours a week of the experience of filling a room with many voices and making new friends!

The choir is led by Gerald Huber-Weiderbauer, Flora Königsberger, Christoph Richter and Rainer Leithner. “You learn from us – we learn from you.”

  • Every Thursday from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm
  • In the Kleiner Saal (Small Hall) of the Festspielhaus St. Pölten

Important note:
We are currently unable to accept new singers into the WÖD CHOR PLUS. We thank you for your understanding.

Flora Königsberger is a singer, singing teacher and choral director. She has focussed on community projects such as ”Chor50+“ and “Wödchor+“ at Festspielhaus St. Pölten, and been choral director of projects with the Tonkünstler Orchestra, Landestheater NÖ and Sommerspiele Melk. In 2019 she co-founded the Konzertchor NÖ. She is a singing teacher (Musikschule Herzogenburg and BORG St. Pölten), and regularly leadsseminars and singing weeks and coaches for theatre productions. As a soloist she has primarily sung  religious and Baroque music within the region. She is a soprano with the ensemble 15.21. She is a graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, University of Vienna and Conservatory of Church Music St. Pölten.  Frequent performances with numerous choirs and ensembles ranging from sacred music to opera and band projects make her a flexible musician who does not back away from defying perceived conventions and crossing boundaries between styles of music.
