A unique dialog that questions the historical connection between dance and music: Adam Linder and the renowned soloist ensemble Kaleidoskop and five extraordinary dancers embark on an artistic fusion!
Dance/live music To a score composed especially for the piece by Ethan Braun, a choreography is created that fuses technical precision with bold innovation. The piece questions the cultural and historical interplay between music and dance and combines technical perfection with daring artistic experiments. Tournament transforms the stage into an impressive playing field on which musicians and dancers abandon the pure interpretation of their craft to negotiate the myth of harmonious unity. A visual and acoustic spectacle that redefines the conventions of dance!
Australian choreographer Adam Linder is known for his uncompromising curiosity. His choreographies combine innovative approaches to movement, virtuosity and performativity, breaking with conventions and renewing classical dance. By combining electronic media, print and live performance, Ethan Braun creates innovative works of various genres. His music is characterized by commissions from institutions such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and collaborations with international artists. The Berlin soloist ensemble Kaleidoskop has been accompanying experimental music theater in collaboration with international artists from all genres since 2006.
