The100Hands

In the middle of the space is a box that is accessible on all sides. Do you want to get out or get inside? Once inside, are you a prisoner, or are you comfortable there? Will you make room for others or do you want to keep the box to yourself? The box can mean entirely different things: in Out of the Box the Dutch company led by Jasper Džuki Jelen and Mojra Vogelnik Škerlj acts out acrobatically and comically what it actually means to “think out of the box”, to claim thinking space for yourself, or to open it, cut yourself off or link up with others. In keeping with their belief that interpersonal relations are the basis of the world we live in, The100Hands also invite the audience to participate in the performance, both inside and outside the box and to decide: am I just going to watch, or am I going to become part of the action? Will I help someone get out of the box – or maybe even get into it?
