Once again this year, the BIG BANG Festival is transforming the Festspielhaus into a huge playground for the ears and eyes. From unusual sounds to astonishing performances: here, everything is fair game to try out, discover and celebrate with abandon.

From the stage to the foyer, this time you’ll explore a kaleidoscope of musical experiments: The Funky Currywurst Brothers bring their highly energetic rhythm and comedy extravaganza to the stage – virtuosic, funny and interactive. In Stories in Blue by choreographer Ceren Oran, the emotional landscapes of families become audible and visible from a child’s perspective as dance, music and stage work together to explore feelings such as love, fear, joy or jealousy. With these and many other programme highlights, a festival emerges that appeals to all the senses, invites participation and demonstrates that music is a playful, vibrant world full of surprises.

The Belgian Zonzo Compagnie is internationally regarded as a pioneer in music projects for young audiences. With its award-winning BIG BANG Festival, which takes place in more than a dozen countries and has been honoured with the prestigious EFFE Award for European cultural festivals, the company has created an innovative musical experience for children and young people.
