Bats are mysterious and, in some ways, a bit like us – they fly, they cuddle, they share their ‘treats’. In this exciting play, we dive into their world and discover their wild adventures.

Bats – these cool flyers aren’t just out and about in the dark, they’re also very clever and fast! What do bats get up to when they meet in their cave? What does it feel like to float in the air or to ‘see’ using ultrasound? In Fledermäuse, the schallundrauch agency brings the secret life of these flying creatures to the stage. The dancers and musicians dance and play to the sounds of real bats and Johann Strauss’s operetta Die Fledermaus. Here we fly through the air together, hear crazy noises and experience the adventures of the bat on stage!

The schallundrauch agency is a Viennese performance group that has been creating theatre, dance and performance for young audiences since 2003. Founded by Janina Sollmann and Gabriele Wappel, the group collaborates with artists from various disciplines and brings unique, creative productions to the stage.
