What is it like when something feels ‘cosy’? What is home, what is one’s origins, what does it mean to feel at home?

Home: it is a (childhood) memory, a construct of the mind and a pinch of magic. More longing, sometimes hope and often utopia. It can be shared, yet it also constantly excludes. And ever since it was rediscovered as a political battleground, the question has arisen as to whether it still has any relevance for the future. Wo ist Walzer? (Where is ‘Waltzer’?) takes audiences aged twelve and over on a quest for a sense of belonging.

The kollektiv kunststoff demonstrates the open-ended nature of contemporary art in various ways. In doing so, it seeks not only to raise awareness and stimulate reflection, but also to engage with socio-political issues. Since 2011, the collective has been working in the fields of contemporary choreography, dance and cultural education. It sets itself the task of examining contemporary dance and performance from different perspectives, thereby making them accessible to a variety of audiences.
