Virtuoso, young, powerful. In Trailer Park, Moritz Ostruschnjak explores how digital life is transforming our perception and bodily experience. A unique performance space emerges on stage, where the analogue and the digital merge.

Nine dancers navigate the stage through a mix of virtuoso movements that reflect both the overwhelming nature of and the enthusiasm for the World Wide Web. In this work, which is heavily inspired by social media, Moritz Ostruschnjak deliberately employs the practice of ‘copy & paste’ to create a new, digital dance language from fragments of the internet. The dancers move within a space between analogue reality and the omnipresent digital sphere – dynamically, powerfully and expressively. Trailer Park is a reflection on today’s world, in which the boundaries between physical and virtual existence are increasingly blurring. Fast-paced, fascinating and full of energy!

Moritz Ostruschnjak began his dance career with breakdancing and studied in Munich and with Maurice Béjart in Lausanne. Today, his works are regularly shown at European festivals. In 2020, he was awarded the City of Munich’s Dance Promotion Prize and named one of the Aerowaves Twenty21 Artists.
