A carpet is just a carpet? Not in this dance performance! Here the floor comes to life and invites you to feel, roll, crawl and marvel. A poetic dance adventure for children from the age of one – full of movement, imagination and surprises.

Dance for a young audience Two dancers explore the mysterious world beneath their feet with large and small movements. Piece by piece, they discover colours, shapes and hidden things. Sometimes gently, sometimes energetically, everything moves – arms, legs, bodies and even the carpets themselves. Suddenly, colourful squares appear, mysterious shapes snake out of rolls of fabric. Light and music transform the stage into an ever-changing world. And at the end? Everyone can join in and become part of the play!

As a creative dance theatre company from Roskilde (Denmark), Aaben Dans creates moving, entertaining and thought-provoking dance productions for a wide audience. With an open mind, the company explores what dance can do today and develops new, relevant forms of performing arts in collaboration with artists from various disciplines.
