From Tu 05/05/2026 09.00Description
When the Tonkünstler-Orchester plays pop songs and the audience itself becomes the singers, the result is not only a unique karaoke experience, but mass euphoria.
This fantastic interactive format between orchestra and audience can also be experienced in St. Pölten in 2027! The principle behind this format, initiated by Matthias von Hartz, couldn't be simpler: the orchestra rehearses popular karaoke songs from The Beatles to Beyoncé with conductor Jan Dvořák, visitors choose their song and then sing it accompanied by the Tonkünstler Orchestra.
Matthias von Hartz has been the artistic director of the Zurich Theater Spektakel since 2018 and is the creative force behind orchestra karaoke, with which he is rethinking participatory music formats. With a broad creative spectrum ranging from performative projects to full-length operas, Jan Dvořák works as a composer and conductor at the interface of various arts.
