Music for young audiences Few topics have fascinated people as much as the universe for as long as they have existed. Planets, stars, black holes and, of course, the earth – how all of this is connected is a subject that has occupied science, technology, art and culture in the past, present and future. ‘And yet it moves!’, Galileo Galilei is said to have exclaimed after he had to renounce his theory of the Earth's motion... In this exciting journey through space, science and music merge in the imaginary space shuttle: cosmic phenomena and exciting stories are vividly conveyed by astronomer Ruth Grützbauch. In addition, the Tonkunstler Orchestra invites you on a sound adventure in the universe with galactic music from Gustav Holst's ‘Planets’ suite and the soundtrack to ‘Star Wars’ by John Williams!
