Description
When pop meets Viennese wit, dialect meets reggae and big emotions meet urban vibes, it’s time to say: Welcome to the Domplatz Open-Air 2026! We’re looking forward to LEA with her finely crafted pop that balances intimacy and grandeur, BIBIZA with her wit and unmistakable sound, and Lukascher with reggae made in St. Pölten and dialect. A musical feast as diverse as the German-speaking pop scene!
LEA writes songs for every situation in life: between grand emotions and subtle nuances, she tells of intimacy, doubt and the courage to go with the flow. Since her breakthrough with ‘Leiser’ (2018), she has continually refined her sound – approachable, clear and unafraid of the unfinished. With millions of streams, sold-out tours and numerous gold and platinum awards, LEA is one of the most influential voices in German-language pop. And she’s far from finished: every album opens up new horizons, yet always delves deep into her own emotional world. Feel all the feelings!
This musician hails from Vienna – and sounds the part. With wit and edge, megalomania and self-deprecation, BIBIZA crafts a universe all his own. His songs are snapshots of a world caught between intoxication, reflection and a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour. In doing so, he blends rap with pop, funk, rock and whatever else feels right. With his hit album *Wiener Schickeria* (2023), he has captured this sound perfectly: lyrics that stick in your mind, beats that drive you on, and an attitude that won’t bend. Live, BIBIZA is an event, effortlessly shifting from head-nodding to a collective state of euphoria.
Blending global sounds with dialect, Lukascher develops his very own musical language. Rooted in Lower Austria and influenced by everything from reggae to dub, he combines danceable rhythms with socially critical lyrics. For his songs tell of the here and now – critically, yet always full of emotion.
The Domplatz Open-Air Concerts are an expression of the active cooperation between the province of Lower Austria, the city of St. Pölten and the Festspielhaus St. Pölten. As sustainable formats from the Culture St. Pölten 2024 focus year, these pioneering projects demonstrate how culture can have an immediate and positive impact on the city, the region and far beyond.
