Mourad Merzouki takes us on a kaleidoscopic journey through almost 30 years of his choreographic work. Kaléidoscope is a celebration of diversity that brings together the various facets of his choreography – from hip-hop and circus to classical music.

In Kaléidoscope, Merzouki creates a danced retrospective of his work. Excerpts from different creative phases are placed in a new context, forming a visual and poetic collage. From Käfig (1996) to Zéphyr (2021), the evolution of his signature style can be traced: energetic, open, and always in search of new perspectives for hip-hop and its encounter with other art forms.

As a leading choreographer on the urban scene, Mourad Merzouki blends different disciplines – from dance and circus to mixed martial arts and video. In 1996, he founded the Compagnie Käfig and has since been committed to promoting hip-hop dance and making it widely accessible to society. For the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, Merzouki was responsible, among other things, for the official dance choreography La Danse des Jeux, which was rehearsed in schools across France in preparation for the Olympic Games.
