With Mémoires d’Oubliettes, Jiří Kylián once again brings his choreographic legacy to life: a delicate, melancholic exploration of memory and that which fades away over time. Crystal Pite then presents a disturbingly precise power play behind closed doors with The Statement. A new work by Hofesh Shechter adds a contemporary, physically charged perspective to the evening – open, pulsating, in the process of emerging.

As an influential innovator of classical dance, Jiří Kylián shaped the NDT for decades as Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer, leading the company to international prominence. With a unique approach to dance and theatre, Crystal Pite is one of the most significant choreographers of our time. Her company, Kidd Pivot, is known for its innovative and cross-genre work on existential narratives about power, vulnerability and the human condition. As Artistic Director of the Hofesh Shechter Company, Hofesh Shechter is regarded as one of the “hottest artists on the British dance scene” (New York Times). With his powerful works, characterised by an energetic movement language, he works as a guest choreographer for renowned dance companies as well as theatre and opera productions worldwide.
